The California LCFS carbon-intensity (CI) benchmark for the gasoline pool steps down each compliance year per CARB rulemaking. The benchmark is expressed as grams of CO2-equivalent per megajoule of fuel energy. The 2024 rulemaking accelerated the step-down schedule starting in 2025.
