What is this?

D6 RINs are generated by conventional renewable fuel — primarily corn-starch ethanol — under the U.S. Renewable Fuel Standard. Each gallon of qualifying ethanol generates one D6 RIN per 40 CFR 80.1415. D6 prices have historically tracked the conventional renewable volume obligation set annually by the EPA Set rules.
